Set in 450
acres of parkland, the Eton College Rowing Centre at Dorney
Lake, near Windsor in Berkshire, is scheduled to host the 2012
Olympic rowing and canoe/kayak flatwater events as well as the
Paralympic rowing events (July 29 to August 11). The
white-water canoe slalom will take place on a specially
constructed course at Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire.
The Rowing Centre is within the grounds of Eton College and
has a 2,200-metre, eight-lane rowing lake and return lanes.
The Centre hosted the 2006 Rowing World Championships.
