LONDON Holiday and Tourism Information for the
Equestrian Events - 2012 Olympic

EQUESTRIAN

London’s beautiful Greenwich Park – a World Heritage Site – is to be the location for the equestrian events
(July 29 to August 10) in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

The dressage and show jumping are scheduled to take place in front of the Palladian Queen’s House, designed in the early 17th century by Inigo Jones for Anne of Demark, wife of James 1.

The Park, spanning 183 acres, is the oldest enclosed Royal park and contains the Prime Meridian Line and the old Royal Observatory.
