A
new Olympic Hockey Centre is to be built in the Olympic Park
at Newham in London for the Games, having two venues holding
15,000 spectators and 5,000 respectively, from (July 29 to
August 11), 2012.
Once the Games have ended the centre will be reduced to an
arena with just 5,000 seats and a training pitch and relocated
north of the Park. Nearly 400 players will take part in the
hockey matches.
