With a following of over 50 million devotees, this
Korean-based martial art first became a full Olympic sport at
the Sydney Games in the year 2000. Visitors to the 2012 Games
will be able to see why it is known as ‘the art of the foot
and the fist’ at the ExCel International Exhibition Centre,
London, from
(August 9 to August 12).
Over 100 contestants will take part in search of eight gold
medals. The contests are held in four weight classes for both
sexes.
